Perfect Game
Austen Recker is a 2027 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Excelsior, MN who attends Chanhassen. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.23 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, comes through the ball well and has some idea on his footwork, longer arm action with a some carry on his throws, works the long hop well. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a small leg raise timer, short and direct to the ball and repeats well, has quick hands with a line drive swing plane, lived on the barrel with solid contact to all fields, has hitting tools to continue to develop with additional strength. Took a turn on the mound, works from a simple turn and throw delivery with a loose low effort arm swing. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with some velocity projection there, velo played up due to his ability to throw both secondary pitches for strikes. Showed good arm speed and feel for both a mid-70's curveball and change up. Effective outing with 77% strikes over two innings. Excellent student.
Perfect Game
Austen Recker is a 2027 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Excelsior, MN who attends Chanhassen. Sturdy athletic build with some present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium stance with a big glide into his swing, high back elbow load with a still hand start, has strength in his swing and creates bat speed, best when he stays back and drives the ball to the middle of the field. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves to the ball well with athletic action, fields out front and carries momentum into his throws, quick arm with plenty of carry and made very accurate throws. Also worked out in the infield and showed nice lateral athleticism, fields the ball cleanly with quick exchanges, made accurate throws with good carry. Premium utility type who can play all over the field with skill and tools. Excellent student.
- 1x USA Baseball All-Region team (Midwest) - 16u NTIS Champions Cup Gold Medalist (Midwest Stripes) - 2026 Preseason All-American (Perfect Game) I am a dual sport athlete who possesses an elite in-game athleticism factor that is rare. I was a nationally ranked swimmer, which boosts my cardiovascular endurance. I was also a wide receiver for many years, which allows me to track the ball in the outfield much better. Playing three sports has taught me a lot about goal setting and working hard, whether that be for a team goal or my own goals. I am a very smart, well-rounded student-athlete who is a competitor on the field and in the classroom. I am also very proud of my countless academic achievements: I carry a 3.7 unweighted GPA, and I further stand out with my national test scores. I've passed four different AP exams scoring as high as a 5 and scored in the 93rd percentile on the PSAT. These scores earned me the National Recognition Program award from College Board and qualified me for the National Merit Scholarship award. I am looking for a school that will help me succeed in both academics and baseball and am searching for a full four year home. I'm ready to do whatever it takes to work as hard as I can to be the best player I can be. Lastly, I take great pride in being a great teammate. One thing I have loved about club baseball is all the opportunities I get to meet new players, families, and coaches. Being able to play for my family, city, state, region, and even wearing our nation's flag on my sleeve has taught me many valuable life lessons that I will keep forever, even after my baseball career comes to a close.
