Personal Statement I play with intense energy and work hard to be the best player in baseball. Leadership - I live on a farm with 3 siblings. I care about my family and strive to be good big brother. I am loyal and will protect my family. I serve in my church and in the community. I am a leader among my teammates and lead by example due to my work ethic. I am a multi-sport athlete. In football I play linebacker and running back. I wrestle and win most matches with sheer heart. Lessons - I have learned recently that the process of preparing means far greater than my results. And sometimes success only comes after failed attempts. My will to prepare in the right way gives me the assured confidence that I can expect to win. Work - I earn money as a beekeeper and stack 50lb grass seed bags on the farm. Often long days, 10-15 hours in the summer and part-time in the winter months. I am not afraid of the work it takes to win! College – I will do the work it takes to win a College World Series. In college, I will further my education by studying business management and prepare myself to raise a family and succeed in life. Professional – I see myself as a professional baseball player, and of course, in my minds-eye, I can see the fun-tough grind leading up to that day playing professional baseball.
