Scouting Reports

Perfect Game

Thomas “Davis” Sheen is a 2030 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock-Cooper Liberty. Big, lean frame with room to keep adding strength. Ran a 7.23 60-yard dash. On the mound, side-step delivery into a knee-above-belt lift with a bigger hip turn. Lower 3/4 slot with medium length and solid arm speed. Lands on line and stays around the plate with a repeatable look. Fastball was 75-83 mph T83. Consistent strike throwing is still developing, but the arm strength is present. Primary outfielder on defense, charges it with intent and moves well to the ball. Plays through it with a clean gather and strong carry, posted 82 mph from the outfield. Worked in the infield with clean hands and good energy to the glove. Transition into throws is easy and arm strength plays, 82 mph across the infield. Right-handed hitter with a spread stance and a shorter stroke to contact. Strong hands with good connection. Quick launch with a negative load and lined balls to the middle of the field. Excellent student. Named to 2025 PG 14U Main Event Showcase Presented by GEICO Top Prospect List.

PBR

6/10/26 Projectable athlete with an excellent frame built for future strength. Ran a 6.90 60-yard dash and projects as a plus runner. Showed solid infield actions with range, body control, and the ability to make plays on the move while flashing carry across the diamond. Produced hard contact off the barrel with a developing approach at the plate. A 2030 prospect worth following over the next several years.

PBR

5/26/26 Thomas (Davis) Sheen, Lubbock Cooper Liberty (TX), 2030 Positional Profile: SS/OF Athletic player with great frame/build to add strength. Will be plus runner, good mover on the baseball field. Defensively impressive in game play showing range and ability to make plays on the move. Bat speed present, shows ability to impact baseball with hit approach developing. Player to watch over next few years. Body: 6-0, 174-pounds. Good build/frame for added strength. Projects well physically. Delivery: Short, side step rocker. High knee lift with inward turn. Loads in back leg. Cast stride leg out and down slope, on line stride with solid landing on stride foot. Gets over front leg with spinoff finish. Arm Action: RH. Full circle with length, hooks wrist to backside, comes out of early enough to not be much of a factor. Solid layback to arm on top. HTQ slot with slight crossboy finish. FB: T81, 76-81 mph. Solid spin, shows some carry now, will continue to develop. T2279, 2024 average rpm. CH: 70-70 mph. Shows tail action to arm side, some sink down. T1739, 1739 average rpm. ATH: 6.90 runner in the 60. Solid start and run form. Plus runner in future on pro scale. Hit: RHH. Toe tap with short stride, lands in solid position. Rotational back foot, gets stuck on occaasion, overall solid use of lower 1/2 in swing, work to get back foot fully turned on all swings to fully engage lower 1/2 in swing. Body lays back at point of contact, work to develop upright posture at contact. Hits into firm front leg well. Hands/barrel start in solid position. With stride has inward turn of front shoulder along with hands push back slightly creating barrel wrap behind head causing length swing. Nice job of getting on plane, pulls off at times with front shoulder opening early, soften inward turn of shoulder, this will help with opening of shoulder early, helping with extension. Other thought process...front 1./2 of body is for direction, think less is more with front 1/2 of body and more back 1/2 of body is better. Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 81.6 mph. 349' max distance. Bat speed present, shows hard contact off barrel. Opportunites for adjustements present. Arm: RH. INF-84 mph. OF-84 mph. Arm works, shows carry, will develop into above avg raw arm strength. Defense: OF... moves well to baseball, firm ability fielding baseball out front off left foot. Sets up well to field flyball and playing thru setting feet to field. INF...solid actions, sets feet, plays thru baseball. Fields baseball deep, work to feild baseball out front off inside off left foot. ATH: 6.90 runner in the 60. Solid start and run form. Plus runner in future on pro scale.
