Baseball is one of the first things I can remember. My parents put a plush baseball in my crib with me as a baby and I've been throwing it ever since. My name is Ryan Matson and I am currently a sophomore at St. Anthony's High School here on Long Island. I am an honor roll student with an interest in potentially majoring in Business while also playing collegiate baseball. I'm a hard worker, with a level headedness that sets me apart on the mound. I've been taught to always try to learn and improve and be the best teammate I can be - especially in games I am not playing in. The ultimate dream would be a career in professional baseball - but I want to also make sure the rest of my high school years along with my college years will be opportunities for fun and growth, setting the table for the rest of my life once I am done playing the sport that's been with me, and that I've loved since day one.
